Who is it that overcomes the world?

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. – 1 John 5:5

Jesus overcomes the world. And whoever believes in Him can also overcome the world. The world may hate us, may persecute us, may reject us, but we should not overcome by it and fall. We are strong and powerful because God is the one who sustains us. Have faith in Him, accept Him and live in Him. You are blessed!

Live together in unity

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! – Psalm 133:1

Brother and sisters, continue to live together in unity. We are part of the body of Christ. As body of Christ, we must unite ourselves and help each other out, encourage one another, for the glory of God.

Renewed Strength

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:30-31

Our strength is limited. We will come to the point wherein we are tired and weary, we are exhausted because of many things we need to do. There are times we feel like giving up. But always hope in the LORD, trust in Him and He will renew our strength and we will experience joy, peace and satisfaction on the things we will do because we know that God is with us and He will never let us fall and be weary and tired.

I love you, O LORD

I love you, O LORD, my strength. – Psalm 18:1

God loves us first and it’s not just an ordinary love but an unfailing love.

Why not give Him the love He’s worthy to receive? And I believe that simple words “I love you” and show how you love Him means a lot to God and He is very pleased to you as His son or daughter.

“I love you, LORD” is also acknowledging God in our lives. That we need God and we love Him. It is also submitting to His will and doing our best not to break His heart or asking forgiveness if we do wrong to Him.

God’s words will never pass away

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. – Jesus, Mark 13:31

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He keeps His word and it will never change. The world will pass away but God’s word remains. Many stories, songs, movies, TV series and many things on earth are already forgotten, but God’s word is still here and continuously spreading throughout the world. God’s word is the thing that we are holding on that will last. Keep reading the word of God and be inspired, be strong, be filled with wisdom and be closer to Him.

Perversity and Gossip

A perverse man stirs up dissension and a gossip separates close friends. – Proverbs 16:28

We cannot avoid contradicting opinions, but we should consider that we are always open-minded in considering others, especially when working on a group. Being close-minded and perverse may lead to disagreement, and worst, to quarrel and lost of teamwork. When working on a team of people or even with friends, take away your pride, consider all things, share your points humbly and come up with a united decision.

Gossip or rumor does not give a good result. Gossip separates close friends. As member of the body of Christ, we should avoid gossiping about a person, especially if he/she belongs to us. We are called to be united as one body, not to be separated by a simple gossip. If you’re a victim of gossip, don’t give a chance for it to affect your relationships with other people. Pray that God will give you strength and wisdom to overcome this thing and to do what is right. Don’t get angry to people who started this, instead, forgive them and pray for them, talk to them humbly to resolve whatever conflict this had cause.

God’s love endures forever

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. – Psalm 136:1

I encourage you to read the whole Psalm 136. Noticed how many times the author mentioned “His love endures forever”. It is mentioned 26 times in this verse only.

That is how God loves us. God gives us an unfailing love, love that endures forever. He always loves us and He longs for us. He is excited to communicate with us.

In return, let’s give thanks to Him for all of the things He had done in our lives. Yes, we encountered problems and trials, but did you think that even you’re facing these things, you are able to overcome them? Because God loves us so much, He does not want us to be in despair, to be crushed, to be destroyed. Grow in relationship with Him to experience more of His love.
