Heal Our Land

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14

We are God’s people. One of God’s promises to us is to heal our land. When our nation is facing problems like calamities, diseases or epidemic and destructions, let’s humble ourselves, pray to God, seek Him and turn away from sins, surely God will hear our prayers, forgive us and heal our land.

Not only that, God has many promises for the people who is seeking Him. Seek, pray and live according to His Words and we will experience the promises God has for His people.

You are blessed!

Tell others and bring them to Jesus

The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter). – John 1:41-42

We can’t find a book in the bible that is written by Andrew. He’s not even mentioned frequently throughout the New Testament.

But He had done an important thing… that is to tell and bring people to Jesus and let Jesus change their lives.

In these verses, Andrew told Peter about the Messiah. He also brought Peter to Jesus. Peter became one of the disciples of Jesus and was active in preaching the gospel to others. Despite the things happened to Peter, Andrew did not feel envious to him.

As Christians, let’s tell others about Jesus and how He changed our lives. Let’s bring them to Jesus for them to experience the best life God wanted them to have. You never know, the person you’re talking right now will be used by God to advance His kingdom. He needs you to tell this person about Him and bring this to Him, in order to fulfill the plans God has for this person.

Go on the heights

The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights. – Habakkuk 3:19

Did you know that deers have long legs with powerful muscles and are able to run 40 miles per hour and jump 10 feet high? (http://www.veganpeace.com/animal_facts/Deer.htm)

If we rely on God’s strength, God will enable us to surpass the challenges in our lives. We will not feel tired, we can even do more for the glory of God. With God, we can climb up our mountains to see the best things God has provided us at the other side. Walk with God, ask for strength and face the challenges in your life boldly because you know you can surpass these because of God and you will see the best results God wanted you to receive from Him.

The Widow’s Offering

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” – Luke 21:1-4

Our God is our provider. He gives us our needs, He gives us an unconditional love. God does not deserve left overs because He also gives us what are best for us. Let’s return to God what is His, not the left overs we have but the first fruits of the blessings that we received. He deserves to be the first in our lives!

Holy, holy, holy

…Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. – Revelation 4:8

God never change. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is the God of our forefathers, our generation, the generation to come and forever. He is also our Father, and we are treated as children and co-heirs of Christ. He keeps His promises and His love endures forever. He is worthy to be praised. Sing praises and worship our Lord. Shout out loud, proclaiming the name of the Lord! Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!

Jesus calms the storm

One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. – Luke 8:22-25

When the disciples experienced the storm, they worried, thinking that they we’re going to drown. Jesus, on the other hand, is sleeping. Why Jesus is sleeping in the midst of the storm?

Did he not care for his disciples? Did he want to be drown? Absolutely, not! He is in faith that nothing bad will happen to them because God is with them.

There are times we stumble and worry when we are facing troubles and trials. God is telling us, “Don’t be afraid, I’m just hear, hold on to me and I will not let you go”. Do not doubt, remain in faith, because we know that if God is with us, and we are walking to His way, the problems, troubles or trials that will come will not shaken us.

The Lord upholds us

If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. – Psalm 37:23-24

Continue to delight our LORD on how we live our life, by living a Christ-like life. He will make our steps firm. We will not fall when we stumble because of trials or any worries, because our LORD upholds us with His hand and He will never leave us. Praise God!
