Lights Up!

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16

We are the salt and light of the world. Let your light that comes from Jesus shines to other people. This light is the changed life we have because of Jesus Christ. Because once we are dead from our sin, but now we are born again through Jesus and reconciled with God.

Through our changed lives and how God works in our lives, these people will see the goodness of God and they will see how great, how wide and how deep is the love of God to His people. And through the testimonies that we have, they will praise our Father in heaven and build up a relationship with God for them to have a life like the lives we have with Christ.

Perseverance

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. – James 1:2

Sound ironic, isn’t it? Apostle James told us not to worry, instead be joyful whenever we are facing trials of many kinds. Seems difficult but yes, it is possible.

If we think positively when facing trials and our mindset is that these trials are testing of faith and help us to develop perseverance, we will lessen or not anymore worry about these things. Keep on trusting the LORD and we can surpass these trials through His help.

He cares

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

All of us are facing problems. Big or small, they are still problems that may cause us to worry and feel headache. But God cares for you. He doesn’t want you to suffer and to solve your problem alone, He wants to help you, unless you are the one who is not asking for His help. Cast all your problems to Him, either big or small, and He will gladly help you. Pray that you cannot solve these problems alone and you trust Him that with Him, any trials, any problems will be resolved.

Isn’t it comfortable when you know someone is always willing to help you when you have problems? And it is easy to solve the problem when someone is helping you? What more that God is with you and caring for you!

Age Doesn’t Matter

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in love, in faith and in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12

Age doesn’t matter to be a testimony to other people and to share the gospel. Even you are young, set an example, have a Christ-like life by living your life with love, faith, purity and following God’s word.

Rejoice!

Rejoice in the LORD always. I will say it again: Rejoice! – Philippians 4:4

Yes! God is great. God loves us so much. He protects us, gives us all we need, He never forsakes us. He is our strength, our Rock, our Savior. Through Him we gain eternal life. What more can we ask for?

Because of these things, God is worthy to be praised, to be worship. Rejoice to the LORD always. Shout for joy, sing songs of praise, worship Him with all our hearts, mind and soul. Rejoice!

To serve or To be served???

Isn’t it nice to be served? Think you are in a five-star hotel, staying in an executive suite with breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet, relaxing with full body spa and then you have a personal waiter.

Yes, it’s nice but to serve is nicer and fulfilling over these things. Not only that, it’s God’s call to us to serve rather than to be served. Even Jesus Christ came to this world not to be served like a VIP person but He came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. – Mark 10: 45

Who can be against us?

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

If God is for us, nothing can be against us. Even we are facing problems, trials or persecutions, we will always prevail. There are times we experienced failures, no need to worry because God has something better for us. He will never let us be defeated because in Him, we are victorious!
